Super happy with this cap and ordered another in a different color! I have a lot of very curly hair that is currently in a protective style of Fulani braids. I read the reviews and looked through the photos but couldn't find anyone else with a protective style wearing this sun cap. When my hair is not in a protective style, I usually wear either "one size" or large size in hats. My husband unwrapped this cap and tried it on his shaved head. He said it didn't fit his shaved head, so it wouldn't fit over my braids. But, what I did is, put my head upside down, positioned the cap over the top of my head, then fastened the velcro back strap over my braids, and flipped my head right side up. Violà Magic!! It fits great!! Once in place, I shook my head back and forth and all around, and it didn't budge!! I've provided pics of me wearing it just to try it on. I imagine it will be even better once I put my braids in a ponytail!! The material is thin, but I like that for staying cool!! The bill is large, firm and provides shade over my ears. It seems like you can shape it a little if you want. The only issue is see is there is approx 1" of exposed velcro when I fastened it that can stick to my braids, but I have some velcro lying around that I can stick to the exposed velcro to solve this problem. I bought this to wear to the upcoming Indy 500 because I promised my mom I would wear a hat since with Fulani braids my head could burn between every cornrow (it doesn't matter how old you get, your mom will still worry!! Lol), but I like it so well, I bought it in a light blue color from another seller!! The price is great for this cap, so I was willing to try it even if it didn't work!! Hope this review helps 🙂

It's a good item, and the embroidery is a nice touch. There is only a couple issues I had with it: It naturally fits well, but I feel if you have a bigger head it might not work as well; it has a velcro strap at the back, but it doesn't seem like it will hold very tight if you've got it at the very ends. Unless there's no breeze, you usually have to tilt it further down, which will impede your vision by a lot, or you use the included cord to make sure it doesn't fly away from you (the cord doesn't help too much with keeping it ON your head when the wind is really blowing, at least not for me). I definitely like it though, and I'll keep it and use it, just not on windy days! Oh, also to add, it is comfortable, and I didn't have any issues with it scratching or irritating my forehead, same with the chin strap (it's silky, not elastic that can chafe)

The hat didn’t stay on. Maybe if I had a bigger head it would. You definitely need a pony tail but even then I needed to clip it on with a hair clip in the back. The slightest breeze (3mph) would blow it off. The coverage is good. It just didn’t fit my head and I couldn’t adjust it to be smaller
